Veteran ghazal singer Jagjit Singh passed away on 10 October 2011 in Mumbai. He was 70. He was admitted in Lilavati Hospital for more than two weeks. The singer had undergone an emergency surgery for brain hemorrhage at the Hospital on 23 September 2011.
